Custom timber console and hall tables.
A Goldenwood console table can be curved, crossframe, provincial or plain, with drawers or without, in Tasmanian Oak, American Oak, Jarrah or the timber you choose. The length, depth and height, the drawers, the timber and the finish are all customised to the hallway it is for.

Which console table designs are in the collection?
Curved, crossframe, drawer and provincial designs. The Vanta Curve and the Axis Curve are the curved ones, and the Sandbar is the crossframe.
Most have drawers. The Wahroonga has two, with bar pulls, on square legs; the Turramurra hides two behind a reeded frieze; the Killara has three on slim tapered legs. The Gordon adds turned legs and a lower shelf with a shaped front, and the Rozelle sets drawers over an open shelf between X-braced ends. The Randwick is the provincial one, on cabriole legs with knob-pull drawers, and the Bondi stands on U-shaped sled legs with a plain apron.
For an entry, the Glebe Hall Bench is a long, low bench on thick slab legs.
Three of the shapes in the range: curved, crossframe, and a design with two drawers.
Is a hall table the same as a console table?
Yes. The two names mean the same piece.
Can a console table be made to fit a narrow hallway?
Yes. For scale, the Turramurra is drawn 1,200 mm long and only 350 mm deep, the Wahroonga 1,200 mm by 400 mm, and the Killara and the Gordon 1,500 mm by 400 mm, all 800 mm high. Those are starting sizes; your hallway sets the final ones, and the table is drawn in 3D against the wall before any timber is cut.
What timbers are the console tables made in?
Tasmanian Oak carries most of the range. The Vanta Curve sets Jarrah against Tasmanian Oak, and the Flux Arc is solid American Oak. The Rozelle and the Glebe Hall Bench are made in the timber you choose.
For another species, choose one from the materials page or ask Goldenwood to source it.
How long does a console table take?
Expect it 8–14 weeks after the design is settled, the usual time for a catalogue piece.
Questions, answered.
- Can a hall table have a shelf underneath?
- Yes. The Gordon has a lower shelf with a shaped front, and the Rozelle an open shelf beneath its drawers.
- Can I visit the workshop before I order?
- Yes. The Wetherill Park showroom shares its floor with the workshop, so you can watch pieces being made on the day you visit. David, Cindy or one of the senior makers will walk you through your brief.
- What finish will the table have?
- Most likely two-pack polyurethane, which is how most Goldenwood pieces leave the workshop. A soft, barely damp cloth is all it needs day to day.

The piece or the room, in your words.
Golden Wood brought our dream bedroom suite to life. Cindy and David were patient with all our changes and ensured everything was perfect. The workmanship, service, and delivery were excellent, and after six months we can honestly say it’s the best suite we’ve ever owned. This is the place to go for custom furniture in Sydney.
We had five pieces of furniture made by Golden Wood, and the experience was outstanding. David designed exactly what we envisioned, while he and Cindy kept us updated at every stage. We even inspected the pieces before staining and chose our preferred finish with their guidance. …
