Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of this website and any commission, quote, or order you place with Goldenwood Furniture. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Using the website
You may browse this website for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use it in any way that breaches the law, infringes another person's rights, or interferes with the operation of the site.
2. Content and intellectual property
All photography, drawings, product names, the Goldenwood wordmark, and the text on this site are owned by Goldenwood Furniture or used with permission. You may share links to pages on the site, but you must not reproduce, modify, or republish content without our written consent.
3. Pricing and quotes
Prices are not published on the website. Every commission is individually quoted. A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued. Once you sign off on the drawings and pay the deposit, the itemised quote is locked — we only revise the price if you change the brief.
4. Deposits, payment, and ownership
- A deposit (typically 50%) is required to begin work.
- The balance is payable on completion, before delivery or pickup.
- Ownership of the piece passes to you on full payment.
- Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery, unless we are installing.
5. Made-to-order goods
The pieces on this site are made to order in our Wetherill Park workshop. They are not held in stock. By placing an order you accept that:
- Lead times are usually 8–14 weeks from sign-off, but can vary with workshop load and timber availability.
- Solid timber is a natural material — grain, colour, and figure will vary from one board to the next, and finished pieces will not be identical to studio samples or photography.
- Made-to-order goods cannot be returned for change of mind. Our returns policy is set out at /returns.
6. Consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
7. Warranty
In addition to your statutory rights, every piece carries our 10-year craftsmanship warranty and a lifetime warranty on hardware. Full warranty terms are at /warranty.
8. Privacy
Information you share with us is handled under our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of this site or an order placed with us is limited, at our option, to repair, replacement, or refund of the price paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in effect on the date you place the order.
