Glass and timber display cabinets, made to order.
Start with the shape the room needs: a tall glazed cabinet, a hutch with glass over drawers, a corner unit that holds wine, or a library wall, shown three metres long. Each is built in timber and glass in Wetherill Park, Sydney.
Which display cabinets are in the collection?
Tall glazed cabinets: the Hikari Glass Cabinet, the Shell, with a fully glazed front, and the Portland, with a mirror back and a downlight behind two glass doors, over two timber doors. The Brighton Display Cabinet sets X-mullion glass doors over shaker cupboards.
Hutches, glass above and storage below: the Hove, 2,600 mm long, with five mullioned glass doors over a row of shallow drawers for cutlery and linen; the Brighton Wine Hutch; the Geelong Buffet and Hutch, with three glass doors and three downlights over drawers and timber doors; and the Mildura and Echuca Display Hutches. For corners there are the Lena, the Sommelier and the Swan Hill, and for a whole wall, the Regent Library Wall.
The Lena is solid American Walnut, and the rest shown in a timber are Tasmanian Oak. The Hove and both Brighton pieces are painted in a white satin two-pack that can be colour-matched to the room. The Regent is finished in a walnut-tone matt two-pack, the Sommelier in an ebonised satin, and the Lena in a clear matt that leaves the walnut showing.

Which corner display cabinet suits my room?
It depends on the two walls. The Lena Corner Display, in American Walnut, runs 1,200 mm along each: glass shelves in framed bays, two X-shaped wine lattices, and a vertical bottle column at each end. The Sommelier Corner Display runs 1,800 mm on one wall and 1,200 mm on the other, with framed glass doors and side lights over an X-cellar lattice and a stack of three drawers. Both are 400 mm deep and 2,200 mm high.
The Swan Hill Corner Wine Display has glazed doors, a diamond wine lattice at the centre, and drawers and cupboards below, drawn to the corner it is for.
What glass, shelving and lighting do the cabinets have?
The Hove, the Brighton pieces, the Lena, the Sommelier and the Regent are glazed in toughened clear glass. The Hove, the Brighton Display Cabinet and the Wine Hutch carry three adjustable timber shelves per glazed bay; the Lena has four adjustable glass shelves per bay, and the Portland three glass shelves in front of its mirror back.
Lighting is warm LED. It is an option on the Hove, both Brighton pieces and the Lena and Sommelier, each with a hidden driver. The Regent has downlights built into its centre alcove, and the Geelong three downlights above its glass doors.
How long does a display cabinet take?
Most display cabinets ship within 8–14 weeks of design confirmation, under a 10-year warranty on their joinery, structure and finish.

- Can a display cabinet be made in Blackwood or Jarrah?
- Yes. Tasmanian Blackwood and Jarrah are both on the materials list, and any cabinet here can be made in either, at your size and in your finish. None in the collection is shown in them yet.
- Which cabinets hold wine?
- The Brighton Wine Hutch has a central wine lattice between glazed bays, the Sommelier an X-cellar lattice at its centre, the Swan Hill a diamond lattice, and the Lena two X lattices plus a bottle column at each end.
- How deep is a display cabinet?
- The Brighton Display Cabinet and the Lena and Sommelier corner units are 400 mm deep; the Hove, the Wine Hutch and the Portland 450 mm. The Hove, both Brighton pieces, the Lena and the Sommelier stand 2,200 mm high, the Portland 1,800 mm.
- Should a display wall be built in instead?
- Build it in when it should run wall to wall or up to the ceiling, or frame a screen or a window: that is fitted joinery, measured on site, drawn to the room and installed by Goldenwood's own crew, and it starts on the wall units page. A freestanding cabinet suits a room you may rearrange.
