A Goldenwood kitchen is drawn for the room it is fitted to, built at Wetherill Park and installed by Goldenwood's own crew. Goldenwood takes on full kitchen renovations, not only the cabinetry. The standard cabinet is engineered board in a two-pack paint or polyurethane finish, with a stone top where the design calls for one.
What are the kitchen cabinets made of?
Engineered board as standard, sprayed in a two-pack paint or a two-pack polyurethane. A stone benchtop is an option, honed or polished, templated to the cabinets and then fitted.
The timber, the finish, the layout and the size of the runs and the island all change to suit your kitchen.
What kinds of kitchen are in the collection?
Full kitchens built around an island, L-shaped kitchens, a bar kitchen, freestanding islands and a sink run. The Kirribilli pairs a central island with a tall lit display cabinet behind glazed doors; the Tamarama is an L-shape with shaker doors and open shelves on brackets; the Mosman is a freestanding island with panelled centre doors and a stack of drawers at each side.
The Siena Modern and the Bayside Shaker are in painted MDF, and the Harbour Field is listed as Tasmanian Oak with a stone top. None is a fixed size: each is measured on site and drawn to its own room.
Who measures and fits the kitchen?
Goldenwood's own people. The kitchen is measured in your home and shown to you in 3D before anything is cut, so the layout can still change at that stage.
After you sign off, shop drawings and a production schedule keep the workshop in step with the other trades working on the room.
How long do custom kitchens take?
Most catalogue pieces ship within 8 to 14 weeks of design confirmation, but a kitchen is a larger fitted commission, so its lead time depends on the scope, the timber and how busy the workshop is, and your quote confirms it.
Two design rounds are included while the kitchen is drawn and viewed in 3D.

- Can the kitchen match the rest of my joinery and furniture?
- Yes. The kitchen can be designed together with the wardrobes, vanities and other joinery in the home, and with its furniture.
- Is the kitchen under warranty?
- Yes. Any defect in how the kitchen was built is covered for 10 years, and the hinges and drawer runners carry a lifetime warranty. The Warranty page has the terms.
- How should the kitchen cabinets be cleaned?
- Wipe spills off the doors and benchtop promptly, and keep bleach, ammonia, methylated spirits and citrus cleaners off the cabinets.
- How can I be sure my kitchen is built the way it was drawn?
- Every run of cabinets is measured and drawn by Goldenwood and shown to you in 3D before anything is cut, and you get two design rounds to move things around. Once you sign, the itemised quote is locked, and the shop drawings and production schedule keep the build in step with the plumber, electrician and other trades.
